Raptors beginning within in search for new GM

The Toronto Raptors have begun their search to replace general manager Jeff Weltman, who left to run the Orlando Magic.

"We will look in-house first, then figure it out from there," Raptors president Masai Ujiri told Amico Hoops.

Weltman was hired as the Magic's new president of basketball operations earlier in the week. The Magic sent the Raptors a future second-round pick in order to let Weltman out of his contract.

Bobby Webster has been serving as the Raptors' assistant general manager and VP of basketball strategy, while Dan Tolzman has served as the team's director of player personnel. Tolzman is also the GM of the organization's D-League affiliate, Raptors 905.

The Raptors were eliminated by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Toronto owns the No. 23 overall pick in next month's NBA draft.
