The Houston Rockets have emerged as a serious threat to sign Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul once free agency begins July 1, according to a report by ESPN.

Star shooting guard James Harden has reportedly been in the ear of Paul about teaming up together in Houston.

The Clippers are expected to offer Paul a five-year max deal this summer. If Paul turns that down and chooses to join another team, he would be leaving a lot of money on the table.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Paul is expected to take free agent meetings with the Clippers, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Rockets.
