Waived Bogut eligible to return to Warriors

The trade that sent Andrew Bogut from the Dallas Mavericks to the Philadelphia 76ers will make him eligible to immediately become a member of the Golden State Warriors.

The Sixers are waiving Bogut.

Per Yahoo Sports, the NBA's reacquisition rule doesn't apply to the Warriors, as the Mavericks became the most recent to trade Bogut.

According to both Yahoo and ESPN, however, the Warriors are undecided on whether or not they will bring back Bogut -- the starting center on each of the previous two teams that made it to the NBA Finals.

The Warriors may instead place their focus on backcourt players in free agency.

Bogut has been linked to the defending champion Cavaliers, as well as the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs.
