Jimmy Butler will hold a meeting with the Miami Heat on Sunday in South Florida, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The report also includes news Butler will meet with the Houston Rockets early next week in Los Angeles, with the Philadelphia 76ers not ruling out sign-and-trade deals, which would be required in order for the Heat or Rockets to acquire the All-Star swingman.
According to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press, Butler "is expected to tell Miami officials that he wishes to play for the Heat."
Butler, 29, averaged 18.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 55 games with the Sixers during the regular season. The Sixers lost to the eventual-champion Toronto Raptors in seven games in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Butler has also been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets. Along with those teams, the Sixers are expected to offer Butler a max-level contract -- and are able to pay him more than anyone else to keep him.
