    Pacers sign free agent big man Brimah

    The Indiana Pacers have signed free agent center Amida Brimah to a one-year contract, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. Scott Agnes of The Athletic reports the deal is for one season with a partial guarantee.

    The 25-year-old Brimah went undrafted out of Connecticut in 2017, signing two contracts with the San Antonio Spurs since then, both being two-way pacts.

    Brimah has played 95 games for San Antonio's G-League squad, the Austin Spurs, over the last two years. Last season, he averaged 8.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocked shots in 23.3 minutes in 47 games, earning All-Defensive recognition for the second-straight season and leading the league in blocked shots. He also spent some time on Partizan of the Serbian basketball league.

    The 7-foot, 230-pounder played for the Brooklyn Nets in the Las Vegas Summer League last month, averaging 2.2 blocked shots in only 12.5 minutes in six games.

    Brimah played four seasons at collegiately at UConn, where was a team captain.
