Chicago Bulls swingman Quincy Pondexter suffered a strained left hamstring at the end of Saturday's practice, the team announced.
Pondexter was acquired by the Bulls in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans on September 1.
The 29-year-old veteran has not played the past two seasons because of knee injuries. He has one season remaining on his current contract worth $3.8 million.
Pondexter has career averages of 5.3 points in 279 games played.
