The Cavaliers are again shutting down swingman Kyle Korver for a few days, potentially until early next week.
Korver missed seven games with an inflamed tendon in his left foot and it appears the injury has not completely healed. Korver sat out Monday's game at San Antonio, and told reporters he will do the same Thursday at Chicago and Friday vs. Philadelphia.
Korver, 36, is averaging 10.9 points and shooting 48 percent since being acquired by the Cavaliers in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 7. He said the injury hasn't seemed to fully heal after playing three straight games prior to Monday.
"Everyone keeps saying we're going to play basketball for a long time. Get it right for the playoffs," Korver told reporters.
Shooting guard Iman Shumpert also sat out Monday with a sore right knee. Shumpert's injury is not believed to be serious. He could return Thursday at Chicago.
