CANTON -- The Canton Charge acquired two players, including the younger brother of Hawks forward Al Horford, from the D-League's available player pool Tuesday, the team announced.
Center Jon Horford and guard John Holland both joined the Charge prior to Tuesday's loss at the Grand Rapids Drive. To make room for the newcomers, the Charge waived guard JerShon Cobb.
Horford, 24, played collegiately at Michigan from 2010-14 before transferring to Florida for his final year of eligibility in 2014-15. He played in 31 games for the Gators during his senior season and averaged 6.5 points and 4.8 rebounds.
Holland, 27, played at Boston University from 2007-11. He has been playing professionally in France, Spain and Turkey for the past four years.
Cobb played in eight games for the Charge and averaged 4.6 points in 14.5 minutes. The Charge roster now stands at 13, with 10 active players, Clippers assignee C.J. Wilcox, and two inactive players.
