Knicks signing big man Rabb to two-way contract

The New York Knicks are signing free agent power forward/center Ivan Rabb to a two-way contract, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.

Rabb, 22, is 6-foot-11 and was drafted in the second round (No. 35 overall) in 2017. He spent the first two years of his career with the Memphis Grizzlies, including one playing for current Knicks coach David Fizdale.

He appeared in 49 last season and averaged 5.8 points and 4.2 rebounds.

The Knicks already have an abundance of power forwards, including Julius Randle, Marcus Morris, Bobby Portis and Taj Gibson. So Rabb is likely to spend most of his time with the Westchester Knicks of the G League.
