Lakers’ Nance Jr. to return from hand injury

Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. has been cleared to return to game action and will start tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Nance Jr. underwent left hand surgery on Nov. 3 after suffering a fractured thumb versus the Portland Trail Blazers. The third-year swingman will replace rookie Kyle Kuzma in the Lakers' starting lineup.

Nance Jr. was averaging 10.6 points and 7.5 rebounds prior to getting hurt.

The Lakers enter tonight with a record of 8-11, good for ninth place in the Western Conference.
