The Denver Nuggets have signed rookie guard Brandon Goodwin of the G-League's Memphis Hustle, Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly said in a news release.
The signing of Goodwin was made possible after the Nuggets were granted an Injured Player Exception by the league. The Nuggets were eligible for the exception because they have four players who will miss at least two weeks -- Will Barton, Isaiah Thomas, Michael Porter Jr. and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Once one of those four players is activated, Goodwin will have to be sent back to the G-League.
Goodwin is 6-foot-2 and is averaging 23.8 points and 5.4 rebounds for the Hustle. He went undrafted out of Florida Gulf Coast this past summer after earning Atlantic Sun Player of the Year honors.
