The Denver Nuggets will pick up the contract option on shooting guard Malik Beasley, according to a report from Michael Scotto of The Athletic.
The team had until Wednesday to decide on Beasley's option, which runs through 2019-20. Beasley is in his third NBA season after being drafted with the No. 19 overall pick in 2016.
“I’m just ready to kill it, and ready to show that I can be great,” Beasley told Amico Hoops. “And possibly, have one of those years where I might get Most Improved Player.”
Beasley has received increased time this season as the Nuggets have gotten off to a fast start. He's averaging 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds through Sunday's games.
