Sixers part ways with two-way guard Young

The Philadelphia 76ers have released shooting guard James Young, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.

Young signed a two-way contract with the team in January. He appeared in six games with the Sixers, averaging 2.8 points. He also appeared in 39 games in the G League, where he averaged 20.7 points and 5.6 rebounds.

Young is a lefty out of Kentucky who was selected by Boston with the 17th overall pick in 2014.
