The Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves are among the strongest candidates to pull off a trade for Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, according to a report from the Miami Herald.
The Wolves are one of the teams Irving reportedly has interest in playing for.
Both Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns have been in touch with Irving since he requested a trade from Cleveland.
The Cavs and Wolves could potentially work out a deal where Cleveland sends Irving to Minnesota in exchange for Andrew Wiggins and big man Gorgui Dieng, a move that may benefit both teams.
The Suns, meanwhile, are reportedly not going to include Josh Jackson in any deal for Irving, so the best package they could offer would probably be Eric Bledsoe, T.J. Warren and future picks.
The Cavs are said to be in no rush to trade Irving.
Until a team offers a grand return, Cleveland can wait by the phones and control the whole process.
