Rockets sign G League lifer Frazier to two-way contract

The Houston Rockets have signed guard Michael Frazier to a two-way contract, the team announced in a news release.

Frazier, 25, is the reigning G League Most Improved Player after averaging 16.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers last season.

Frazier was waived by the Rockets last week but the organization did not want to risk losing him, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Frazier joins 5-foot-9 guard Chris Clemons as the Rockets' two-way players. Clemons led the NCAA in scoring as a senior last season at Campbell University.

Frazier is 6-4 and has five years of G League experience but has never appeared in an NBA game.
