Wizards decline option on McCullough

The Washington Wizards have declined to exercise the fourth-year team option on power forward Chris McCullough, according to a report from Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.

McCullough will now become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

As Scotto detailed:

"McCullough was the 29th overall pick in the 2015 draft by the Brooklyn Nets and was traded to the Wizards with Bojan Bogdanovic for a 2017 lottery protected first-round draft pick, Andrew Nicholson, and Marcus Thornton. That draft pick eventually became Jarrett Allen."

McCullough, 22, has appeared in 41 career games over three seasons.
