Pacers decline team option on Joe Young

The Indiana Pacers have decided to not pick up the team option on Joe Young's contract for the 2018-19 season, according to a report.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports the Pacers could still tender Young a qualifying offer today, which would make him a restricted free agent Sunday. However, that is unlikely, which would make Young an unrestricted free agent Sunday.

Young, 26, spent three seasons with the Pacers, averaging 3.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.5 minutes last season, shooting 43.0 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from the 3-point line.

In his three seasons in Indiana covering 127 games, Young averaged ply 8.5 minutes per game.
