Pelicans remove Davis from intro video, Facebook and Twitter page

The bitter feelings for the New Orleans Pelicans have officially begun to sink in when it comes to star player Anthony Davis and his desire to be dealt from the franchise.

Davis' agent Rich Paul stated that his client will not sign an extension with the franchise and wants to be traded, and the team clearly is preparing for life after Davis.

In fact, the Pelicans have removed Davis from their Twitter page, Facebook page, and team introduction video.

Being the biggest star on the team, getting rid of the memory of Davis won't be easy, but for now the club took the highlights of Davis, along with Davis' image, and replaced them entirely.

The new Davis-less intro video for the Pelicans was unveiled before their matchup at home Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.

Jrue Holiday replaced Davis as the main picture on the Pelicans' Twitter page.

For now, Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry was not sure if Davis would play again for the Pelicans again following his agent's trade demand.

“That’s a hard thing to answer... I assume that he will," Gentry told reporters. "That’s something that’ll have to be discussed about what’s best for him and best for our team."
