The Detroit Pistons have picked up the team option on shooting guard Luke Kennard and declined their option on forward Henry Ellenson.
The team announced the Kennard move, while the Ellenson move was reported by Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
All of this means that Kennard is signed through the 2019-20 season, while Ellenson will become an unrestricted free agent.
Kennard was selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2017 draft and has played in 76 games for his career. In that span he is averaging 7.6 points and shooting 42 percent on 3-pointers.
Meanwhile, Ellenson has appeared in just 58 games after the Pistons drafted him at 18th overall in 2016. He has compiled averages of just 3.8 points and 2.2 rebounds.
