Rockets extend qualifying offer to big man Capela

The Houston Rockets have extended a qualifying offer to center Clint Capela, making him a restricted free agent Sunday, according to a report.

Keith Smith of RealGM reported Houston is extending the qualifying offer of $4.75 million.

Cappella averaged 13.9 points, 10.8 boards and 1.9 blocked shots for the rockets last season. He was a finalist for the NBA's Most Improved Player award.

Houston also extended a qualifying offer two 6-foot-3 guard Markel Brown, a two-way player.
