Philadelphia 76ers swingman Justin Anderson underwent surgery on his left leg, according to a team release.
The procedure was to address recurring tibial stress syndrome, according to the Sixers. Anderson will be re-evaluated in two weeks and then again in 6-8 weeks, with the team providing an update after the second re-evaluation.
In 38 games last season (all off the bench), the third-year pro averaged 6.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game.
Anderson began his career with the Dallas Mavericks, being selected with the 21st overall selection in the 2015 draft.
Still on his rookie contract, Anderson is guaranteed $2.5 million next season.
