With the status of Markelle Fultz again an unknown, the Philadelphia 76ers have stopped listening to trade offers for point guard T.J. McConnell, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Several teams reportedly had expressed an interest in McConnell at the beginning of the season, including the Phoenix Suns. But per Wojnarowski, the Sixers are likely to start "leaning on him more heavily" after the latest ordeal involving Fultz and his mysterious shoulder injury.

The backup to Ben Simmons is on a non-guaranteed deal for $1.6 million this season, the final year of his contract. If the Sixers don't sign him to an extension, he will become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

McConnell is 6-foot-2 and is averaging 3.9 points and 2.4 assists in 16 appearances this season. Those numbers are down from his career averages of 6.3 points and 4.9 assists.
