Sacramento Kings shooting guard Garrett Temple is opting in to his $8 million player option for next season, according to a report from ESPN.
Temple signed a three-year, $24 million deal with the Kings in 2016. He will become a unrestricted free agent next summer.
In 65 games this past season, Temple averaged 8.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists, shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from three.
The Kings had been working on the expectation that Temple would opt in for next year. The team finished 27-55 in 2017-18 and selected Duke's Marvin Bagley III with the second overall pick in the NBA draft.
