The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised the team option on the contract of shooting guard Terrance Ferguson, the team announced in a news release.
Ferguson saw limited action last season as a rookie but has moved into a starting role, having replaced the injured Andre Roberson.
But Ferguson, 20, has struggled mightily in averaging 2.8 on 27 percent shooting.
Ferguson, 20, was selected by the Thunder with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2017 draft. OKC had until Wednesday to decide on Ferguson's option.
