Cavaliers Notebook: Wade expected back Tuesday

DwyaneWade will miss his second consecutive game for the Cavaliers Sunday night as he is away from the team mourning the death of his agent and father figure HenryThomas.

However, Cleveland coach TyronnLue said in his pregame meeting with reporters Wade is likely to rejoin the team Tuesday night in Detroit, when the Cavaliers have a rematch of the game Sunday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Detroit.

IT to be unleashed... maybe

Lue told reporters point IsaiahThomas could have the final restriction on his rehabilitation from the torn labrum in his right hip lifted this week.

Thomas, who missed seven months while working his way back after reaggravating the injury in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers this season, has not been permitted to play in back-to-back matchups.

That could change this week, though, according to Lue. The Cavaliers play at Detroit on Tuesday night and then host the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.

“We talked about that and the training staff said we’ll just kind of see how he feels,” Lue said. “He wasn’t supposed to, at first, but now just said let’s see how he feels going into it and we’ll go from there.”

Thomas has played 11 games for the Cavaliers since returning after sitting out the first 36 games of the season while working his way back to action.

Cleveland (28-19) is 4-7 in games Thomas has played as a Cavalier.

Hold the water

While admitting part of the reason DerrickRose did not play in the fourth quarter Friday night against Indiana after making 6-of-8 shots and scoring 14 points was because Rose had to use the restroom, Lue still said part of the reason he didn't play the veteran guard was because he was tired.

As for Rose having to use the restroom, Lue said he himself would have found a way to remain on the bench and he available to play, especially the way Rose was performing.

“I’m holding that,” Lue said. “If I’m playing that good, I’m going to hold it. Get a couple more shots up.”

Bradley hamstrung

The Pistons will be shorthanded against the Cavaliers as guard AveryBradley will not play because of a sore right hamstring.

Bradley,27, is averaging 15.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 31.7 minutes in 40 games (all starts) this season for the Pistons, who have dropped seven consecutive games going into the game against the Cavaliers.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound shooting guard out of the University of Texas was acquired in a trade with the Boston Celtics on July 7.

He was replaced in Detroit's starting lineup by ReggieBullock, who is averaging 8.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 23.8 minutes in 32 games (22 starts) for the Pistons this season.
