The Cleveland Cavaliers have been used to being shorthanded pretty much all season long.
That trend will continue tonight in Charlotte, as the Cavaliers (44-30) will be without five-time All-Star forward Kevin Love, according to a team release.
The release reads:
Following last night’s front tooth subluxation in the first quarter and subsequently experiencing concussion-like symptoms at halftime and not returning to play, Cavaliers forward Kevin Love received additional evaluation this morning and has been placed in the NBA concussion protocol. He is Out for tonight’s game in Charlotte vs the Hornets and his status will be updated as appropriate.
Love was injured in the opening minutes of Tuesday night's game in Miami, when he was hit in the mound while attempting to draw a player-control foul on Miami's Jordan Mickey.
