Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert will miss the next five-to-seven days while undergoing treatment for increasing right knee soreness, the team announced in a press release.
Shumpert missed Sunday's game against the New York Knicks after experiencing pain during his pregame routine.
Shumpert, 27, is averaging 6.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 18 minutes per game. He started one of the games at point guard but has come off the bench in the other five.
He was nearly traded to the Houston Rockets during the summer before talks broke down.
The Cavs (3-4) play four games over the next seven days, starting with Wednesday's home game against the Indiana Pacers.
