NOTES/THOUGHTS

This is another opportunity for the Cavs to get in a "practice," as coach Tyronn Lue implements a faster pace. … That's not meant as any disrespect toward the Suns. … Neither is this: They're not very good, and worse, they're really banged up. … The Suns lost Tuesday at the Sixers. So they come to Cleveland on the second night of a back-to-back with broken spirits. … Injuries have also left them without a point guard. … Mostly, the Suns are in a bit of disarray, as they're still looking to trade talented forward Markieff Morris. … I'll have more on that subject (and other stuff) on the Cavaliers Live pregame show with Jeff Phelps and Campy Russell on FOX Sports Ohio. … Back to the Cavs. They have a little work to do, in terms of being where they want to be. Two of the issues I'd like to see cleared up: The perimeter shooting of Kevin Love and, yes, LeBron James. Both seem to work too hard for their points these days, and it's because they can't get perimeter shots to drop. … But as far as moving the ball and not letting it "stick," I've liked what I've seen so far under Lue. … A lot of folks seem to be freaking out about this team, but the Cavs are 31-12 and have yet to play their best basketball. Sounds OK to me.
