Warriors owner 'sort of tired of Cleveland'

Several talking heads and scribes across the NBA landscape have expressed they would rather not be about to see the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors meet in a fourth straight Finals, as they will do beginning Thursday night at Oracle Arena.

Turns out, that includes Joe Lacob, majority owner of the Warriors.

“Sort of tired of Cleveland, to be honest,” Lacob told Anthony Slater of The Athletic following Golden State's Game 7 win over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals.

But Lacob acknowledged the task of going up against LeBron James with the NBA championship on the line is anything but easy.

“But having said that, LeBron James is an immense challenge, an incredible player. It’ll be fun.”

Steph Curry, Golden State's two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, is anything but tired of Cleveland.

“You’ve got to appreciate the moment,” Curry said. “Somebody asked, ‘Four years in a row getting to the Finals, do you appreciate it?’ Yes.”
