Paul George Reveals Shocking Basketball Fact About Himself

Paul George does not like taking the first shot.

Most NBA players love taking the first shot in a game. Most, except for Paul George.

In a recent episode of Podcast P, Paul George revealed a very shocking fact about himself - he does not want to take the first shot in a game.

"I hate getting the first play to start the game off," George said. "I hate it. Every time, nah draw that sh*t up for somebody else. No bulls**t. I do not like that first play going to me. Imma shoot it, imma jack it up."

George's statement is a very shocking statement to hear a superstar player say. It definitely requires more context, but even without context, it's a very unexpected statement. Most superstar players want to get as many shots as they can in the game, especially, the first shot.

Throughout the season, Paul George has made numerous interesting statements about himself. He admitted to JJ Redick he no longer considers himself "the guy" on the best team anymore. It seems as if George has come to a place of understanding that he's a number two guy, or possibly even a number three guy. While it's really self-aware, it's also very frustrating for a fanbase when the Clippers are paying the max contract to a player that has not been available for two straight playoff runs.
