The Charlotte Hornets will play their second straight game without Dwayne Bacon. Head coach James Borrego ruled out the third-year guard before Friday's contest against the Pistons.

Bacon, 24, missed Wednesday's loss vs. the Grizzlies due to right knee soreness. The Florida State product is averaging 9.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per-game this season. Before Borrego ruled him out, Bacon was listed as "probable" for Friday.

Devonte' Graham started in-place of Bacon on Wednesday and will remain in the starting lineup for Friday's game. Graham scored 19 points and had four assists.

The starting lineups for Friday are...

HORNETS: Terry Rozier, Devonte Graham, Miles Bridges, P.J. Washington, Cody Zeller

PISTONS: Bruce Brown, Luke Kennard, Tony Snell, Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond

Reggie Jackson (lumbar stress reaction) and Khyri Thomas (right foot) are inactive for the Pistons. Nic Batum (left finger) remains out for the Hornets.

Quotes

James Borrego on Miles Bridges' development: "Probably his play-making right now and the responsibility I'm giving him defensively as well. Leaning on him more defensively right now as a primary defender, a two-way guy and he's grown in that area. He's really done a great job. He's still got a long way to go. His playmaking ability, to make plays off the bounce for others -- he's doing a lot more off the dribble this year than last year. Those are probably the three main areas that I've seen the most growth in."

Notes

  • Kevin Scott, Tre Maddox and Matt Myers are tonight's officials.
  • Devonte Graham needs just 19 points Friday to tie his scoring total from a year ago, where he scored 217 points over 46 appearances.
