Could the Utah Jazz find themselves as a possible suitor for New Orleans Pelicans guard JJ Redick if the Pelicans decide to buy his contract out? According to ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, there's a possibility.

Jazz beat writers and fans were quick to jump on this rumor, speculating the interest that the Jazz might have and trying to find out how Redick would fit in to the Jazz system.

Redick would add veteran leadership and a dangerous shooting threat from beyond the arc. Although he isn't shooting the rock particularly well this year, him being on the floor adds a need for defenses to guard the perimeter more carefully, which could especially benefit Rudy Gobert. The Jazz are currently in third place in the NBA in three-point percentage (39.6%) and trail only the Brooklyn Nets (39.7%) and Los Angeles Clippers (41.4%).

Fans are concerned because Redick is having a down season so far this year. He is currently shooting 36.4% from three-point range which is his lowest percentage since 2012-2013 season. With that number, he would immediately be in sixth place on the Jazz roster in three-point percentage. He would only trail Joe Ingles (50%), Mike Conley (42.2%), Royce O'Neale (41.5%), Donovan Mitchell (37.8%), and Bojan Bogdanovic (37.7%). Redick is also averaging 8.7 points per game which is his lowest average since the 2009-2010 season.

Again, It has been reported that the New Orleans Pelicans are now looking to buy Redick out of his contract. Early speculation is that he will end up with the Brooklyn Nets, but don't count the Jazz out as being a dark-horse to snag the NBA Vet.
