Media Reacts to Jazz-76ers Officiating

Members of the media react to the officiating blunders between the Jazz and 76ers.

Following an overtime loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, Jazz stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert were outraged by the officiating. On Wednesday night and throughout the day on Thursday, members of the media like Taylor Twellman and Steven A. Smith reacted to Wednesday night's officiating blunders. You can watch a few of their comments below:

As you can see in the first video, Taylor Twellman was upset about the review that was not overturned with 28 seconds remaining and the offensive foul called on Donovan Mitchell. Steven A. Smith was feeling perturbed about Mitchell's ejection in overtime in such a close game. Not all members of the media agree with Smith and Twellman and their criticism of the Jazz-76ers officials, but one thing is clear: the NBA has a refereeing problem. Whether it be the officials themselves or the perception of the officials by players and fans, it's a problem that should concern everyone in NBA headquarters.

The Jazz are 25-1 this season when heading into the 4th quarter with a lead. That one loss came Wednesday, as Utah fell to the 76ers in overtime. Mitchell was ejected during the overtime after picking up two technical fouls. On his way out, Mitchell punched a water cooler that nearly hit a bystander.
