The New York Knicks are back in Sin City for Las Vegas Summer League action.

New York's prospects will open against a division rival, facing the developmental version of the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers got their feet wet in Salt Lake City, playing in three games before getting to Las Vegas and posting a 1-2 mark.

What to Know

  • What: New York Knicks (0-0) vs Philadelphia 76ers (0-0) (Vegas Summer League)
  • Where: Cox Pavilion, Las Vegas, NV
  • When/Watch: Saturday, 5 p.m. ET, MSG/NBA TV
  • Who's Favored: PHI -1.5

Despite not having any draft picks, the Knicks still have a few players who warrant watching in the showcase.

Trevor Keels, DaQuan Jeffries, and Isaiah Roby all spent time on the Knicks roster this past season and should be among the players who make an impact early in Las Vegas. Roby, with 151 games over four NBA seasons, has the best chance to make an impact for the Knicks in the regular season, as he's currently poised to take over the empty backup power forward spot Obi Toppin left behind.

The Nebraska alum played 42 contests with the San Antonio Spurs last season, averaging 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in just over 11 minutes a game.

Among the notable Sixers are 2022 first-round pick Jaden Springer, undrafted Arkansas guard Ricky Council IV, and 2021 draft pick Filip Petrusev, who played two years at Gonzaga before heading overseas.

New York is looking to build upon a runner-up finish in last year's Summer League affairs, falling to the Portland Trail Blazers in the final.
