Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis has been playing phenomenally in the absence of their other superstar LeBron James. Davis has carried LA on both ends of the floor and is the main reason the Lakers have a winning streak going.

The 30-year-old has put the purple and gold on his back, and in Friday's victory over the Raptors, the roles were reversed. On Friday, the other guys picked up the slack and propelled LA to their third consecutive win.

The bench was tremendous, while Davis was not as spectacular as he's been, but Davis didn't mind as he told Lakers insider Kyle Goon his primary focus is to win basketball games at all cost.

Davis reiterated to Goon that the bench was the reason for the comeback in the fourth quarter, and he wanted them to ride that wave.

LA's bench was clicking on all cylinders, and the energy with them on the floor was different; their energy on both sides of the ball was better, and the game's flow was much better.

The bench was due to have a monster game, and the return of Lakers starting point guard D'Angelo Russell was a huge plus for the purple and gold, chipping in 28 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter and nine assists.

The return of D-Lo was much-needed, and the bench exploding the way they did was big time. The Raptors did a tremendous job on Davis, fronting and doubling at every opportunity.

Davis is the ultimate team player, which shows on the court and in his words to the media. Let's just hope this doesn't happen again; I don't know about you guys, but I prefer double-double Anthony Davis. We'll see how he responds tonight against the New York Knicks.
