Lakers News: Darvin Ham's Rave Review For LA Guards In Raptors Win

LA used a three-guard lineup that actually worked this time.

There is no secret that Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham loves his three-guard lineups. The LA social media discourse always ramps up when he puts small guys into the lineup at the same time through long stretches, and more often than not, it's a disaster.

However, last night, the team's three-guard lineup was excellent. Not only was it successful, but they were the key reason the purple and gold captured their 33rd win of the season.

The three aforementioned guards that propelled LA to victory were Austin Reaves, Dennis Schröder, and D'Angelo Russell.

Ham couldn't help but praise all three guards in his post-game press conference.

"They play so well off each other; they take turns handling the ball, three of those guys, D-Lo, Dennis, Austin. Those guys started the run getting us back in it. We were flat in the third but [rode] that ship in the fourth ."

Dennis and Austin came off the bench, had a plus/minus of over 20, and kept the Lakers in the game after throwing away their lead at halftime.

It was great to see a true point guard handle the ball again, and that's exactly what Russell brought to LA. He made his anticipated return to the lineup and flourished like Laker fans hoped he would.

If those three guards can continue to play at a high-level, you can convince me in the three-guard lineup.
