In a rarity for this point in the postseason, the Denver Nuggets have an absolutely spotless injury report heading into a critical Game 3 against your Los Angeles Lakers.

LA, however, is not so lucky. Per the current NBA injury report, 3-and-D rim-rolling center Mo Bamba will be sidelined for the ninth straight game with a sore left ankle.

The injury-prone big man, formerly the sixth pick out of the University of Texas at Austin in 2018, has a $10.3 million team option for 2023-24. He was out of Darvin Ham's rotation even before missing so much time with the ankle injury (it cost him the last month of the regular season). It's unlikely he's a part of the Lakers' future beyond this season, at least not for anything beyond a veteran's minimum contract.

But Bamba's is the not the listed injury Lakers fans need to be worried about.

Future Hall of Famers LeBron James and Anthony Davis have seen their health statuses downgraded to merely probable with a sore right foot and a lingering right foot stress injury, respectively.

Despite that, there's really no need to panic. James and Davis have made the injury report ahead of every game in the Lakers' postseason thus far, and have always wound up playing. James actually appeared to roll his left ankle during Game 2 on Thursday night, and that ailment is apparently so minor it's not even the one that's being listed!

They'll play. Whether or not they play up to their typical lofty standards is another matter. And they'll need to, because a loss tonight would create a 3-0 advantage for Denver, which feels borderline insurmountable.
