Your Los Angeles Lakers may be looking to revamp their front line in free agency this summer.

Sources inform Pete Dewey of Lakers Daily that Los Angeles is at least pondering the addition of current Minnesota Timberwolves power forward/center Naz Reid, an unrestricted free agent, this summer.

Although LA faced off against Reid's Timberwolves in its play-in game this spring, the 23-year-old was sidelined with a fractured left wrist at the time and did not partake.

Reid is hoping to dwarf his career earnings in the league thus far, having made a grand total of $6.1 million on a four-year minimum deal he inked as an undrafted free agent out of LSU in 2019. Per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the 6'9" big man is hoping for a long-term contract paying in the range of $10 million per season.

He would represent a significant upgrade over Wenyen Gabriel or Mo Bamba in LA's frontcourt. Presumably center Anthony Davis and power forward Rui Hachimura will start, given how well Hachimura performed in these playoffs (assuming he is re-signed, of course), and Jarred Vanderbilt and Reid would be their reserves.

Across 68 healthy regular season games with Minnesota in 2022-23, mostly off the bench, Reid averaged a career-high 11.5 points on .537/.346/.677 shooting splits, 4.9 boards, 1.1 assists and 0.8 blocks a night.
