Lakers: Darvin Ham Confirms LeBron James Missing Nets Game Due To Injury, Not Rest

There was some speculation about the off day.

Lakers superstar LeBron James does not believe in load management — we've known that for about 20 years now. However, now at 38-years-old, I don't think anybody would blame him from taking a day off in the midst of a long season, especially on a back-to-back.

On the first night of the back-to-back against the New York teams, James was ruled out very early on for the Lakers. Many suspected it may been have due to some load management, but ahead of Monday's game, head coach Darvin Ham confirmed that James is, in fact, dealing with "more soreness than normal in his left foot."

This is important because, like I said, the Lakers play on Tuesday against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. If it was just load management for LeBron, we would know he's for sure playing. But, since he missed Monday's game due to injury, the Lakers will probably see how he's feeling tomorrow before making any decisions on his availability.

The good news is Davis will for sure play tomorrow, barring any unforeseen setback, as this was a planned day off ahead of the back-to-back. But the Lakers would definitely love to have both of their superstars in the lineup at MSG.
