The entire sports world is still in shock at the stunning and biggest trade many of us have ever seen in our lifetimes.

More Lakers: NBA World Reacts to Shocking Blockbuster Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis Trade

NBA All-Star and All-NBA teamer Luka Dončić is now a Los Angeles Laker.

The Dallas Mavericks traded their young superstar to their bitter rivals, the Lakers, for L.A.'s superstar center Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and only one first-pick.

The news that came down Saturday night is still shocking, less than 24 hours later. Everyone is in shock, including Phoenix Suns forward and future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant.

After the Suns contest against the Portland Trail Blazers, Durant commented on the blockbuster trade.

Durant responded the only way he knew how and was reasonably shocked.

"Insane. It's crazy, crazy. I never would have thought Luka Doncic would get traded at this age. Mid-season," Durant said after the Suns loss.

"NBA is a wild place, man. If he can get traded, then anybody's up for grabs."

"It's crazy, man. I really don't know what to say about it. Luka being a guy that everybody has claimed is untouchable and untradeable. The NBA shows you again," Booker said. "You can't predict it. It's a business, they're always having conversations about you, so don't think you're safe (because) you're not."

Some cannot comprehend the trade, and it's easy to understand why.

Dončić is a 25-year-old superstar about to enter the prime of his career.

In six-plus seasons in Dallas, he was named a five-time All-Star, five-time First-team All-NBA, 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year, 2024 NBA scoring champion, and was named 2024 Western Conference finals MVP, leading the Mavericks to their first finals appearance since 2011.

Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison offered some insight on why he would make such a trade.

"I believe that defense wins championships," Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison told ESPN's Tim MacMahon, explaining his motivation to deal Doncic for Davis. "I believe that getting an All-Defensive center and an All-NBA player with a defensive mindset gives us a better chance. We're built to win now and in the future."

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Dallas initiated the trade talks, and when the Lakers found out it was for Dončić, it was hard for them to pass up on a generational superstar.

Durant, along with the rest of the sports world, remains in shock.
