Lakers News: LA Gave Up More Than Patrick Beverley and Picks in Mo Bamba Trade

Here's the full deal.

Last week, the Los Angeles Lakers closed out the trade deadline by trading for Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba. The deal sent Patrick Beverley and draft pick compensation to Orlando, and brought back the 24-year-old center.

The deal, which was a good one for LA, actually included a little more on their side. Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report reported that the Lakers also sent $2 million to the Magic in the deal.

That doesn't change much in terms of it being a good deal for LA, but it is good to know.

Bamba was finishing up his four-game suspension, so has only played in one game so far for the Lakers.

However, his debut also came in LeBron James' return to the court, and saw the Lakers dominate the New Orleans Pelicans for 48 minutes to head into the All-Star break with a much-needed win.

Bamba played 15 minutes off the bench, and had four points, six rebounds and three blocks. Expect him to continue making an impact, especially once he gets his three-point shot to drop — he went 0-5 on Wednesday, similar to Malik Beasley's 0-6 spot in his team debut. And since, Beasley is 8-19 from deep. That should spell good news for Bamba.
