Lakers News: LeBron James Injury Status Updated Ahead of Potential Historic Night

Will he have a chance to make historic on Tuesday?

Tuesday has the opportunity to be one of the most historic nights in NBA history. LeBron James has a chance to become the NBA's all-time leading scorer, just 36 points away from setting the record. However, he was questionable to play all day due to his ongoing left ankle soreness, and even missed practice on Monday.

The final injury report has been released, though, and to no one's surprise, James is in the lineup and ready to chase history.

Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves, who were probable to play tonight, will both be playing, so this will be the healthiest the Lakers have been seemingly all season long.

But all eyes will be on LeBron, as he chases history at the Crypto.com Arena.

Over 200 media members have been credentialed to be in the arena, and tons of big names will be there, including the current record-holder, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James' mother, Gloria, will also be in attendance to potentially witness history.

There's no guarantee James breaks the record tonight, as 36 points is no small task. LeBron has scored 36 or more points in nine games this season, so he'll have to make it 10 if he wants to break the record tonight.

While we don't know if tonight will be the night for history, we do at least know that LeBron will be in the lineup. So at the very least, there's a chance we witness history on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Tip off for tonight's game is at 7:00 p.m. on TNT and Spectrum SportsNet. You won't want to miss it.
