Los Angeles Lakers reserve shooting guard Lonnie Walker IV was spotted hanging out at Dodger Stadium with a certain Dodgers co-owner who just so happens to have his own statue outside Crypto.com Arena.

Hall of Fame LA point guard Magic Johnson took in the 35-24 Dodgers' 6-3 loss to the New York Yankees alongside Walker on Saturday, who stands as one of the Lakers' most fascinating free agents this summer.

It's nice to see Johnson, a 12-time All-Star, five-time champion and three-time MVP during the Lakers' "Showtime" run from 1979-1991, spending time with a member of the most recent successful Los Angeles squad.

Walker was a key ingredient of the Lakers bench during the second round of the playoffs against the Golden State Warriors, and was almost singlehandedly responsible for salvaging the team's pivotal 104-101 Game 4 win that brought the series to a nearly-insurmountable 3-1 edge (LA won in six games). The former Miami Hurricane poured in 15 points, all in the fourth quarter, during a clinic of bonkers shotmaking.

The 6'4" swingman inked a one-year, $6.5 million contract with Los Angeles last summer as a free agent, after spending his first four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. He once again reaches unrestricted free agency now, following an erratic 2022-23 season in LA. He kicked things off as a starter, was moved to the bench, and following a flurry of trades found himself out of Darvin Ham's rotation entirely.

When he did play, Walker was a fairly efficient scorer. Across 56 games (32 starts), he averaged 11.7 points on .448/.365/.858 shooting splits, 1.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.5 steals a night. In the playoffs, he averaged 6.2 points on .483/.382/.750 shooting, playing a reduced 13.8 minutes per.
