With Hield now signed to an extension with SAC, I don’t expect Bogdan Bogdanovic to be on their roster past this year’s trade deadline. He’d be an excellent fit on this Mavs team, and he’s good friends Luka as well. Don’t know what the Mavs would have to give up, but I don’t think the price would be as high as some might think. Could see a potential deal similar to what we saw when the Mavs traded for Noel a few years ago (man... we’ve come a long ways in a short time lol)

Bogdan would not only be great for the roster but he'd also stretch out the Mavs important lead on NBA international players! https://secure.nba.com/article/2019/10/22/nba-rosters-feature-108-international-players-2019-20 The Dallas Mavericks have an NBA-high seven international players. The Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers each have six, while the Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards each have five.

Didn’t he also play w Real Madrid? I’m sure he would be interested in playing for the Mavs w his fellow Euros.

To me we are not in a position to get new players this season:

  1. If we trade for a soon-to-be Free Agent (like Bogdanovic) we have no money to throw at him, and we have to accont in our books Doncic's future max extension.

  2. Most teams in the league have better trade assets. To me the ones we could try to trade is Lee, 2nd rounders and THJ (even though I would like him re-signing here on a fair deal like 8-10M/year).

  3. Our only need right now is another defensive minded player. It is very hard to find those. Smart, Covington, Draymond and Holiday are out of reach. Ibaka and Ingles don't fit our timeline.

  4. Our next big move should be on 2021, when the THJ + Lee money could land us a "big fish" for the last piece of the puzzle.
