Step Back Ep. 37: Mavs' Doncic and Porzingis in ESPN's Top 100, plus the NBA cracking down on heights and ages

Did ESPN get it right with their Top 100 rankings? Are J.J. Barea's days of being 6-feet tall over? All that and more in this week's episode.

Welcome to Episode 37 of 'The Step Back: A Mavs Podcast'. Dalton Trigg and Matt Galatzan are your hosts, and you can read all of their work here at MavsSI.com, as well as follow along with their Mavs conversations on Twitter: @dalton_trigg and @MattGalatzan.

On this episode, Matt and I start off by giving our thoughts on where ESPN ranked Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis on its NBA Top 100 list, while also raising a red flag on a few non-Mavs players in the rankings as well. Two weeks ago, we talked about Sports Illustrated's Top 100 list as well, so we compare the two lists as a whole to try to determine which is more accurate. From there, the conversation shifts to the NBA starting to crack down teams by requiring them to get the certified height measurements (with no shoes on) and ages of all players on the roster. We're so sorry, J.J. Barea. We still love you, though. You can listen to the entire episode here.

At the Step Back, there's nothing we love more than kicking back and talking about the Dallas Mavericks, and your loyal support helps our podcast grow, evolve, and improve, and will allow us to continue to create the best Mavs content on the internet.

You will be able to find each and every pod episode here at DBcom, but we are also available on iTunes, Spotify, Spotify, Anchor, Pocket Cast, and just about every other podcast site you can imagine.

We are also now on Youtube, and you can subscribe there as well! To make things better, once we get to 1,000 subscribers on the Youtube platform, we can begin to bring you live broadcasts, emergency podcasts, and a bunch of other really cool content we are working on for everyone.

And of course, we love to continue the discussion on DBcom Boards as well.

As always, feel free to message us @StepBackMavs on Twitter with any Mavs-related questions you might have, and it could end up being discussed on the pod. Thanks for listening!
