David Levy is stepping down as CEO of the Nets and Barclays Center.

“We mutually agreed to part ways,” Levy said in an interview, declining to comment further.

Oliver Weisberg, CEO of J Tsai Sports and NBA Alternate Governor of the Nets, has been named interim CEO of the Nets

Hired less than two months ago to run Allibaba Group's sports, media, and entertainment empire, Levy had big plans to transform the Nets into a globally recognized brand. Owned by Joseph Tsai, Levy became a venture partner in Tsai's global, sports, and media investments.

After leaving as president of Turner in March, Levy was charged with leading the team and arena operations. That mission was cut short before it really even began.
