James Harden gave some very candid answers about his tenure with the Brooklyn Nets and his time with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving after the 76ers defeated the Nets.

One of the interesting things Harden mentioned in his postgame press conference was that he expected Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to leave once he left.

"I didn’t just ask to leave for no reason," Harden said. "I was in a really good place in Houston. Obviously, we didn’t have a chance to win the championship, but I was comfortable. So for me to up and leave my family and all the things that I created there to Brooklyn for, what a year and a half? To just up and leave? It was for a real reason, but I’m happy for the organization in what they got back. They got some really good pieces."

James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving looked dominant together, but they ultimately only played 16 games together. During that time, they were 13-3. Harden openly admitted that he remembered those times as very frustrating.

"Frustrating," Harden said. "There’s a lot of what-ifs. I think we only played less than 20 games together so it was a little bit frustrating, but it is what it is. Hopefully, everybody’s in a good place now and we can move on."

While it may sound unfair to say, the James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving trio will go down in history as the most disappointing All-Star trio in NBA history. There was so much expected, and they only one won playoff series. One day, it'll be fun to hear the three of them reunite and explain what happened together.
