Jayson Tatum Reacts to Celtics Blowing Out Nets

Jayson Tatum was happy to finally get some rest.

For some reason the Brooklyn Nets just can't figure out the Boston Celtics. Boston has won six games straight against the Nets, which doesn't include the playoffs. On Wednesday night, the Celtics absolutely crushed the Nets 139-96. It was a moment that gave Jayson Tatum a huge minutes relief.

Jayson Tatum is averaging 37.3 minutes a game this season, and 40.1 minutes in his last nine games. On Wednesday night as the Celtics blew out the Nets, he only had to play 29 minutes. After the game, Tatum reacted to the blow out win against his rivals.

"We have to mix it up a little bit," Tatum said. "These 47 minute nights I've been having in overtime games is good to be able to rest in the fourth quarter and let some of the guys that don't always get opportunity to play. It was good. I liked the way we came out. Obviously, we shot the ball well, but I think our attention to the gameplan to play the right way. You can tell we were ready to go from the jump."

Unless the Boston Celtics somehow collapse in the NBA Playoffs, the Brooklyn Nets are going to have to figure out a way past them. Granted, Kevin Durant wasn't playing in Wednesday's game, but Boston has beaten Brooklyn 10 straight games, including the playoffs. It's the puzzle that Brooklyn just hasn't been able to solve.
