Nikola Jokic's Humble Reaction to Making History in Game 3 vs Heat

Nikola Jokic made history in a big way, but didn't seem to care.

Every single game, it feels like Nikola Jokic finds a new way to make NBA history. He did it again in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, but he didn't seem to care much. After putting up a historic 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists, Jokic gave a very humble response to the moment.

"To be honest, not much," Jokic said. "I'm just glad that we won a game and it was a big one for us. Just because they won one in our arena, we didn't want to go down 2-1."

At this point, it's starting to become almost expected that Jokic will find a humble way to answer every question. He's never one to take credit, and never one to bask in his own glory, and always finds a way to put the spotlight on his teammates rather than put it on himself.

Additionally, Jokic's focus is definitely in the right place during the moment. The only thing that matters for the Denver Nuggets is finding a way to win one game at a time during the NBA Finals. The stats and making history are great, but what matters more is making history in a winning effort.

The Denver Nuggets have never been down in a series throughout the 2023 NBA Playoffs and will leave Miami guaranteed that they won't be. Game 4 between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat will be on Friday, June 9, at 8:30 PM ET.
