Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony was forced from action during a Monday night game against the Cavaliers in Cleveland after he appeared to trip over his own feet at midcourt.

With a little less than seven minutes remaining in the second quarter and the Cavaliers leading 52-30, Anthony turned to head upcourt after corralling an outlet pass, and fell straight to the deck after getting his feet entangled. No other players were within 10 feet of him and he remained on the ground during Cleveland's ensuing offensive possession.

After getting up gingerly, Anthony departed to the locker room under his own power. He finished with six points (on one-for-five shooting), one rebound and one block in 14 minutes.

The Knicks announced that Anthony would not return to the game with a right knee injury. The team did not offer any further details.

Anthony, 28, has appeared in 50 of New York's 57 games this season.
